General Information LOCATION Hotel - The Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel is on the historical Monument Circle in the heart of beautiful downtown Indianapolis, IN. The hotel has 378 sleeping rooms with a parking garage connected to the hotel with direct access to the sleeping rooms. Their rooms include 42” flat panel televisions, Starbucks coffee, Shine for Sheraton bath amenities and their signature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed. HIGHLIGHTS The first significant change to this year’s event is the schedule of events. The opening general session of the CPPC 2012 Spring Workshop is not until 1PM, with registration beginning at 12 noon on Friday the 27th. The event will conclude with the annual reception being held on Saturady night after a full day of sessions on Saturday the 28th. We have again teamed with AMSA, so that two of their current education classes will be offered in conjunction with our scheduled event. On Thursday April 28th, AMSA will offer their “Claims 101” and “Military Training” courses. Further details on these courses can be found under separate title within this publication. Registration for these two courses will be direct with AMSA through their web site at www.promover.org under their “training” tab. Two additional optional sessions will be offered this year on Friday morning, September 27th from 9am to 11am prior to the opening general session of the CPPC 2012 Spring Workshop. Those optional sessions are listed as “Agency Round Table” and "Repair Only Session", The Repair Only session was offered last year and was well received. It is being repeated as it was found to be beneficial for those that partook in the event. The Agency Round table is being offered to allow those members time to discuss issues they find unique to their work environment. The Repair Only session will allow repair vendors to discuss topics openly and will include topics that only pertain to them including some eductational elements. There is a nominal additional fee for those that choose to participate in these sessions. More details can be found under separate cover in CPPC Claims Journal or on the CPPC web site. Our goal for this year’s workshop is to continue to provide education to all our members, while still allowing them sufficient time to meet or re-acquaint themselves with other members. We will be continuing our very popular member’s Repair Technique Demonstrations segment within the schedule of events. We have the best repair technicians in the industry, amongst our membership, so who better to share their knowledge of techniques they have mastered that might assist yet another member. This hotel’s layout does allow us to continue our also popular Exhibit Spaces. This will occur at various times throughout both days of our event. GUESTS Non-registered guests are welcome to attend our Saturday Evening Reception or one of the meals at a rate of $25.00 per event. This is a direct cost factor for the food for these events. SLEEPING ROOMS If you need room accommodations for the event, they can be made direct with the hotel at 1-317-635-2000 or we have a direct reservation link. Please note that the CPPC room block expires April 11, 2012. There are a limited number of rooms within our block. This special rate can not be guaranteed after this date or once the room block has been met. (Please note, that our costs for meeting space at any hotel, is directly tied to guaranteed room numbers and Food & Beverage Service minimums. Although cheaper rooms might be able to be found in the area, it could effect what our future costs needed for our events.) ADVERTISING/SPONSORSHIPS Advertising/Sponsorships help us to insure the success of these events, while keeping the costs affordable for those that attend. Workshop advertisers gain valuable exposure through their names being listed in the monthly CPPC publication and on the CPPC website, prior to the event. Each advertiser is also offered a size appropriate Ad in the Workshop Program base on their contribution of $50 - $250. Check the registration form or separate presentation for further details. Your support does make the event possible at these low rates compared to other such events. EXHIBIT SPACES Exhibit spaces will again be open at designated times, throughout the workshop. Please see the schedule of events for exhibit times. Set-up will be prior to opening on Friday and take-down will occur at the close of the event. A secure room, close to the exhibit area, will be available to store any items overnight if needed. This is a great opportunity for exhibitors to visit with the attendees, while marketing their business. Members come to you. Exhibitors are permitted to offer a prize by means of a raffle at their table. All drawings are held at the town meeting at the close of the general session on Saturday. Cost for exhibiting continues to be only $100.00 for a registered attendee or $250.00 per space for someone that is not a registered attendee. Spaces are limited, so reserve your table early to insure a spot for this event at such reasonable rates. TRANSPORTATION The Indianapolis Airport services the area and hosts flights from all major carriers and popular discount carriers such as Southwest, Frontier and Air Tran. Transportation from the airport to the property is not provided by the hotel. Private arrangements will need to be made through multiple service providers. Details for a flight discount with American and other service providers can for local transportation can be found under separate presentation in the CPPC Claims Journal or on the CPPC web site.
