CPPC 2019 Convention
The Brown Hotel – Louisville, KY
September 23rd & 24th, 2019

General Information

We are excited to welcome you to host hotel, The Brown Hotel, a historic hotel in Louisville, KY.  The hotel’s Georgian-Revival façade is a blend of Old World elegance and modern-day comfort. It is part of the Historical Hotel Association. It is located in the heart of Louisville’s downtown and sits at the end of their revived 4th Street live entertainment district. The hotel is noted for the origin of the iconic and legendary “Hot Brown” dish. A concoction of Open- Faced Turkey Sandwich with Bacon and a delicate Mornay sauce.

All events of the Convention will take place at the hotel property.  The reception on Tuesday night and all food events during the event are included in your registration fee.

If you are interested in playing Golf on the day before the convention begins, please contact Dan Manning of Manning Claim Services or Jim McCue of UNIRISC, Inc.

Our goal continues with this event to provide educational opportunities to all our members, while still allowing sufficient time to network with all attendees. We have listened to our membership and what they want to see; and have tried to build another program with those elements in place. We will continue to identify first time attendees for the event and insure they are properly welcomed, introduced and guided through the Convention process.  And as always, there will be plenty of time to ask questions throughout the event either in an open session or one-on-one to our Board or other members.

We’re offering optional pre-Convention sessions on Monday September 23rd in the AM prior to the official start of the Convention.  We are planning a Miltiary Roundtable and a Military Only session.  There is no additional charge for these sessions.  The Military Round table will be attended by various  Military brass.  We will advise as the Military Brass confirm their attendance. The Military Only Session content will be updated as we know more detail.

In addition, we are offering an optional Bus Trip Tour to Ft. Knox on Wednesday September 25th.  This event will be hosted by Keith Well of the US Army Claims Service Director. With sponsorship for the bus, the event will not cost attendees, other than their food at the Military complex.

If you are a first-time attendee, don’t miss the Newbies Meeting at 12:15 on Monday September 23rd.  This will allow you to meet the CPPC Board and be initially informed on the event; what to expect and how to get the most out of your time at the Convention. Our Convention will

officially start at 1 PM on Monday with registration opening at 12 noon.  There is a Pre-Board meeting on Sunday from 3:30 to 5:30 PM that is open to all members.

Look for the official “Registration Form” in the back of the CPPC Claims Journal or on-line at the CPPC web site: www.claimsnet.org.  We again offer a link on the website that will allow you to register and pay on-line.  Remember to register early, as the date your registration is received, can affect the amount you pay.

Non-Registered Guests, who are not accompanying an attendee, can attend the closing reception for a separate fee as well, as shown on the registration form.

If you need sleeping accommodations for the event, they can be made direct with the hotel at 502-583-1234 or central reservations at 888-999-5252.  The hotel address is 335 West Broadway Louisville, KY 40202.  Don’t forget to identify yourself as part of the CPPC Convention to obtain the special room rate of $165.00.   The cut-off for our room block and this special rate is August 28th.  Any reservations made after this date or once the block is filled, will be based on availability and at the hotel’s discretion on rate they offer. Please note, this rate is only for members attending the convention.  Any other reservations under our block by individuals not attending the convention will be subject to standard hotel rates deemed appropriate by the hotel.  The hotel does provide complementary airport shuttle.

Advertising/Sponsorships help us to ensure the success of this event by allowing us to keep rates low, so more people can attend. With any level of Advertising/Sponsorship you can gain valuable exposure through your name being listed in the monthly CPPC Claims Journal and on the CPPC website, prior to the event.  We will offer ads in the official Convention Program in direct correlation to your Advertising level. Contributions of $50 - $250 are directly tied to designated levels, but any and all contributions will be appreciated and acknowledged.  Special Sponsorships are also available and limited to first-come status. Check the registration form and advertising materials for further details. Advertising for the event, even if not attending, is a great way to show support for the event and be recognized by other members.

Again, the hotel does offer complimentary transportation to and from the airport.

Don’t hesitate to contact     the CPPC office by calling 866-276-5656 or by email at cppc@claimsnet.org.
