CPPC 2020 Workshop AMSA Course

AMSA Logo                  AMSA Course being offered in conjunction with the CPPC 2020 Workshop.

April 16th, 2019

We are once again teaming with the American Moving and Storage Association to bring you one of their prominent seminars.  In conjunction with AMSA, the CPPC will be hosting AMSA’s

“Claims 101 – Basic Claims Training” seminar.   The “Claims 101” seminar does offer an optional “Certified Claims and Arbitration” certification, by optional test, at the end of the course.  Full details of the seminar can be found below.  Combining this seminar with your CPPC 2020 Workshop attendance will allow you to save on separate travel expenses. The seminar is a one day event that will take place on Thursday April 16th, preceding the beginning of the CPPC workshop on Friday, April 17th.  The seminar will begin at 9am and should be over no later than 4PM.  This is an optional event and separate from the CPPC Workshop fees.  The cost for the seminar will be $250.00, which includes all your class materials and a working lunch.  To register for this event, simply complete the appropriate section on the CPPC 2020 Workshop Registration form found in the back of any current CPPC Claims Journal or on the CPPC web site at www.claimsnet.org

Dav e HauensteinAMSA touts their “Claims 101” seminar as good for someone new to the industry, new to interstate claims procedures or just someone wanting a refresher in claims management. This popular one day seminar will be presented by Dave Hauenstein, a former AMSA Vice President responsible for their Compliance and Government Affairs.  The seminar covers COD claims, valuation, basic customer service, claim settlement strategies and how to best use the Federally mandatory arbitration program. Attendees practice settling claims and reviewing arbitration case studies. At the conclusion, participants have the option of taking the Certified Claims and Arbitration exam and those who pass become Certified Claims Analysts. (CCA) This class concentrates on COD shipments and does not cover Military or GSA claims.

This class has been presented in tandem with previous workshops and was extremely well received. Even people taking this seminar several years ago have found it beneficial as a refresher course.

Again, registration for this seminar can be completed on the CPPC 2020 Workshop Registration form in conjunction with your Workshop Registration or by itself.  You do not have to attend the CPPC 2020 Workshop to partake in this optional seminar.
