General Information
LOCATION
Rosen Plaza Hotel on International Drive in Orlando, FL is the sight for the CPPC 2011 Fall Convention. The hotel is
15 minutes from Orlando International Airport and directly across the street from Pointe Orlando, a 17 acre entertainment and shopping complex. 1 mile from Sea World, 5 minutes to Universal Orlando and 10 minutes to Walt Disney World. Sitting on the International Drive Trolley line it connects you to numerous eating and entertainment options. Complimentary scheduled transportation is available to Universal Orlando, Sea World and Wet ‘n Wild. Most anything you need should be easily accessible to you from the hotel. The hotel itself has an outdoor pool and a hot tub with featured waterfall. It also has a lobby bar and an entertainment club on property. It features two dining options, a snack bar and general convenience items for purchase in addition to its gift shop.
All events of the Convention will take place at the hotel property with the exception of the optional Golf outing on Sunday October 9th. It is important to note that we have changed the event reception from the traditional Sunday night to Monday night this year. We have eliminated the Monday night optional outing of the last few years to allow Sunday to be free for personal plans and not have to worry about getting back to the hotel for a Sunday evening event . The Orlando visitors bureau has set our own web page to assist with discount tickets and general Orlando information. Check out http://cppc.orlandomeetinginfo.com for more information.
HIGHLIGHTS
Our goal continues with this event to provide educational opportunities to all our members, while still allowing sufficient time to network with all attendees. With Military business continuing to be a major factor of our industry, we will again offer a military session on our schedule. On-going changes in the proper handling of this business, make it a viable factor for us to stay connected. We will continue to identify first time attendees for the event and insure they are properly welcomed, introduced and guided through the Convention process. And as always, there will be plenty of time to ask questions throughout the event either in an open session or one-on-one to our Board or other members. This event will open with a Continental Breakfast and General session on Monday morning. However, there is a Board meeting on Sunday evening that is open to the membership. The charge for the convention does include all food events for attendees. Guests can accompany an attendee to a food event for a nominal fee as shown on the registration form. Non-Registered Guests, who are not accompanying an attendee, can attend the Monday night reception for a fee. Details can be found on the registration form.
Look for the official “Registration Form” in the back of this Journal or on-line at our web site, www.claimsnet.org . We again offer a link on the website that will allow you to register and pay on-line. Remember to register early, as the date your registration is received, can affect the amount you pay. Your registration fee does include the continental breakfast, buffet lunch and evening reception on Monday and a buffet breakfast on Tuesday.
If you need sleeping accommodations for the event, they can be made direct with the hotel at 800-627-8258. Their address is 9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. Don’t forget to identify yourself as part of the Claims Prevention and Procedure Council, Inc. to obtain the special room rate of $109.00. You can also make reservations on-line where all information is preset for your convenience at https://reservations.ihotelier.com/crs/g_reservation.cfm?groupID=582589&hotelID=2019 Note that the CPPC room block expires Sept. 23rd, 2011. There are a limited number of rooms within this block, so register early to ensure a room at this rate. Note: This special rate can not be guaranteed after this date or once the room block has been met. The rate does apply for the first two people in a room. Additional charge is applicable for additional people in a room unless accompanying children 17 and under.
Advertising/Sponsorships help us to insure the success of this event by allowing us to keep rates low, so more people can attend. With any level of Donor/Sponsorship you can gain valuable exposure through your name being listed in the monthly Claims Journal and on the CPPC website, prior to the event. We will offer ads in the official Convention Program in direct correlation to your Sponsorship level. Contributions of $50 - $250 are directly tied to designated levels this time, but any and all contributions will be appreciated and acknowledged. Check the registration form for further details. Advertising for the event, even if not attending, is a great way to show support for the event and be recognized by other members.
