About the event

The CPPC is thrilled to announce the return of the "QCA" - Qualified Claims Analyst course, offered in conjunction with the CPPC 2024 Workshop in Indianapolis!  Historically, the American Moving and Storage Association provided a similar course known as the "CCA" – Certified Claims Analyst; however, since AMSA's integration into the American Trucking Association, that session has been discontinued.

This course marks the beginning of a series, with a primary focus on Claims basics referred to as Claims 101. Covering the Carmack Amendment as the foundation of Moving and Storage Claims, the "QCA" course establishes a solid understanding of essential claim principles. Successful completion of the optional exam results in a certification of completion, allowing participants to proudly include the "QCA" qualification on their signature line, recognized by peers in the claims side of the Moving and Storage Industry.

The seminar fee covers all course materials, light breakfast & lunch, and the optional certification exam.

The CPPC believes that the "QCA" – Qualified Claims Analyst course provides a solid foundation for anyone involved in Moving and Storage Claims, whether new to the industry, interstate claims procedures, or seeking a refresher in claims handling. Covering the Carmack Amendment, claims processing basics, valuation, basic customer service, claims settlement guidelines, and understanding Interstate vs. Intrastate claims, the course recognizes differences in Property Damage claims, Inconvenience claims, and Military Claims. While extended claim types are not extensively covered, future offerings on these aspects are anticipated.
